I think this is something many of us suffering from mental illness can relate to in terms of feeling like we have to try to hide our thoughts and feelings to conform with the ‘norm’. I think this a great reminder that at the end of the day we are human and we should not have to feel ashamed about having a mental illness. Similar to other people struggling with ‘chronic migraines’, cancer, diabetes, liver disease, etc.,  there is no shame to fighting mental illness. We are all fighting out own battles, stigma does no one a favour. Show compassion to yourself and learn to accept and embrace yourself. There is only one of you, so use it to your advantage in making yourself the person you want to be.
