First Clinical Shift.

I’ve honestly never felt so overwhelmed in my life entering the clinical portion of my program. Friday was my first day as a level 2 clinical student! I finally reached a big milestone in working with actual patients :O It’s crazzzzzy how much nurse’s know and the things that are expected of us. Need Help?

Recently my mom asked me for help in finding her friend’s daughter an affordable therapist/ psychologist/ or psychiatrist. In Ontario (similar to many other places), often the quickest way to get help is to pay out of pocket for the services pertaining to mental health. Although OHIP does cover psychiatry, in places such as Toronto and the GTA the wait times are RIDICULOUSLY long, when I was at my lowest point two years ago, the average wait time to see them was between one-three months for your FIRST appointment.
